We started before the vocabulary existed.
Virtuality was founded in Copenhagen in 1999, when the words for what we do had not been invented yet. Most of them still haven't.
Perception is an interface. Interfaces can be redesigned.
Every experience you have ever had arrived through the same narrow channel: a nervous system doing its best with incomplete information. We consider that channel an engineering surface. Our work concerns what can be delivered through it, at what fidelity, and with whose consent.
We do not publish. We do not exhibit. Results are communicated to the parties who need them, and to no one else.
There are no photographs of our offices because photographs are a poor substitute for being somewhere, and we are precise about substitutes. Most of our work cannot be shown. Some of it cannot be described. The remainder is on the research page.
We have been expecting a very specific kind of visitor.
We maintain a small number of long-term partnerships. We do not maintain a client list. If we work with you, you know.
Our people prefer not to be perceived. This is a professional courtesy we extend to them, and in several cases a contractual one.
We are, however, hiring.
